What to do with minis and leftover yarn?

Hello friends and happy Advent!

I have collected a few of my personal favorite patterns that would work wonderfully with your mini skeins of yarn. Those mini skeins can be made up of left over, advent calendar’s or even minis you have just collected over the years. I hope this list inspires you to get creative!

Notes

All of these photos are clickable and will take you straight to Ravelry where you can get the details about the pattern as well as the links. These photos belong to the individual designers and I just slurped them from Ravelry to make a gallery of inspiration for you. I am not affiliate with the designers, nor am I getting anything in return for telling you about their patterns.

Just Feel Festive

This is a great crochet shawl worked on the bias, which just means the works rows will be at a diagonal. This is made for minis and the yarn is held doubled. So you can use your mini’s and a solid to make it cohesive.

Pinions

This is a stunning and a beautiful knitted shawl from the amazing Casapinka. This one uses 20-25 minis so prefect for leftovers too. Since each section has a different texture you can really use some of those crazy yarns and highlight them but using solids next to them. Personally I love projects like this because it is not the same thing over and over.

The Perfect Blend.

This is yet another stunning knitted shawl from the amazing Casapinka. This one uses only 12 minis so prefect for leftovers too.

Witching Hour

This one designed by Esha DeWilde, was actually designed for halloween count down minis but you could easily do it in Christmas Advent colors.

What the Fade

This would also do well with advent minis. This shawl is knitted and from the amazing and super talented Andrea Mowery.

Hostfagring (Autumn Garden)

This is a crochet shawl that I think would work very well with minis! Each section could easily be done in a different color making this a wonderful stash buster.

Free the Minis Wrap

A beautiful knit design that would be perfect for the beginner knitter with a new Advent calendar! This one calls for the minis plus a tonal or solid light or dark skein.  This pattern is designed by Amy Meeks.

Chaos and Kindness

This was a make along I came across that is knitting and starts this year. This is also a FREEBIE and designed by Natasha Stills.

Mini Pops Cowl

by Dana Rae Makes is a crochet cowl that is super squishy and scraptastic!

Mini Skein Infinity Scarf

is a classic chevron that will allow for a little decorative lace center while letting your minis sing. Pattern is by Julieann cole.

Habitation Throw

is a mindless knitting pattern designed by the amazing Helen Stewart.

Log Rhythms

is a stunning knit pattern that would prefect for your advent minis, this beauty is designed by Renee Strouts.
