    What's up with the bags?

I love the world of knitting and crochet but with comes a world of notions. How’s a crafter supposed to carry all they stuff around. Well I am not sure what the perfect solution would be for you but I can show you what works for me. These are my own opinions, I am not making anything from the companies… or in no way affiliated with them.  In a nutshell my projects live in their own bag and then get put in a purse of tote for travel, each of the totes have their own notions pouch for on the go emergencies. So let’s take a moment to look at some…

I love the pattern, looks easy enough and there is enough projects made with good project notes that I should be ok. The problem is the swatching! A little Organization from my BYOB

If you have not figured it out yet I am an FREAK when it comes to organization. I was ecstatic when I came across Namaste during the Christmas Holidays. They are a family grown business that focuses on positive thinking and sharing the love of mankind. This is copied straight from their website: WE BELIEVE… We believe in being more friendly to your wallet We believe that style and function can be best friends We believe that everyone deserves coordinated organization We believe that Zen can exist in your handbag We believe that life’s too short to sweat the small stuff We believe in being kind to the earth and it’s creatures…

    Which would you choose?

The Interchangeable Challenge! I am in the market for a set of interchangeable knitting needles. There are so many out there but there are two brands I have it narrowed down too. I purchased a sampler pack from my local yarn store that contained a Knit Picks Harmony, Nickel, Zephyr and cable. I love how pretty the Harmony needles are the Nickel ones seem really sturdy and the Zephyr are great with darker yarns. The problems I have with them is they are not labeled for size. This to me could get real annoying real fast. I am also interested in the Knitter’s Pride. I am hoping to pick up one…

    The Debate!

I have noticed that in the Fiber World there is some cut throat competition. There is the big debate of Susan Bates vs Boye hooks…. Then there is the even bigger debate that is talked about behind Crochet or Knit? Oh my it is crazy! I have heard of loyal yarn stores being slightly rude to the crocheter’s out there and I actually got to witness it first hand. I was in a little used book/yarn shop in Tennessee. the store was old and looked it. It was a dismay of books, papers and yarns piled everywhere. When I walked in I was greeted by a little Yorkie that snapped…

    4KCBWDAY5 Whats my favorite tool…

Today’s post is a little late but hey better late than never. The subject of the day is our favorite tools of the trade. I have several things that I consider my tools of the trade. They are probably some that others are sharing and some are different. The first is my comfortable chair. I shared it a while back but you can see it and all its glory here. It is stationed facing the TV and beside it is my end table. I keep pattern books and lotion, some yarn and other little “needed” things.  I love my chair! Its large enough that one of the boys can sit…
