Do not get me wrong I love all the inde style bags and the shops like Little Skein In The Big Wool has be drooling and dreaming on a weekly basis. Her “kits” with the bag, project and yarn are stunning and I have been kicking myself for not getting the “Where The Wild Things Are Set” Like every time I see the little creature made I cringe and wonder why I did not go for it. The Dreaded Swatch

I have never swatched, until this week lol. I am starting my first sweater. I am going with Harvest from Tin Can Knits. I love the pattern, looks easy enough and there is enough projects made with good project notes that I should be ok. The problem is the swatching! I have always heard you should keep your swatching to refer back too and even to reuse the yarn it need be. Seems simple right? Well OCD little me wanted….. hmmm I mean needed a cute tag to attach to my swatch so I will have all the info right there at my finger tips. I searched all over the…

Coat Tree?? Why not a Bag Tree???

Do you solve problems in your sleep? I know I do. Often my best ideas come to me in dreams. I had pulled my sons changing table to my craft room for storage after getting him potty trained…. OK lets stop and do a celebration dance here… no more diapers or pull ups in this house!! So the changing table was holding project bags, knit washing bucket, blocking boards and a pillow for Bailey to lay on. The problem it was blocking my window and a different color wood than everything else and stood out and said “Hello I am the old changing table in your room” every time I…

A better view of my room

I thought I would make a quick video of my craft room. I love all my storage and wanted to share some of my “cheap ideas”  [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x01aYf7A2IU?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata&w=320&h=266] Since the video I have moved the Circuit machine and taken some of the yarn from the Owl Chest and put it on the bookcases. I put a little glimpse of inside the chest bellow. The nicers yarns are on bottom of the chest and you can not really see them in the photo sorry… However all of my stash, books, magazines etc are on my Ravelry page and it is up to date…. cause that’s how I roll 🙂

A little Organization from my BYOB

If you have not figured it out yet I am an FREAK when it comes to organization. I was ecstatic when I came across Namaste during the Christmas Holidays. They are a family grown business that focuses on positive thinking and sharing the love of mankind. This is copied straight from their website: WE BELIEVE… We believe in being more friendly to your wallet We believe that style and function can be best friends We believe that everyone deserves coordinated organization We believe that Zen can exist in your handbag We believe that life’s too short to sweat the small stuff We believe in being kind to the earth and it’s creatures…

    Which would you choose?

The Interchangeable Challenge! I am in the market for a set of interchangeable knitting needles. There are so many out there but there are two brands I have it narrowed down too. I purchased a sampler pack from my local yarn store that contained a Knit Picks Harmony, Nickel, Zephyr and cable. I love how pretty the Harmony needles are the Nickel ones seem really sturdy and the Zephyr are great with darker yarns. The problems I have with them is they are not labeled for size. This to me could get real annoying real fast. I am also interested in the Knitter’s Pride. I am hoping to pick up one…

However after many conversations and talking to him we decided to send him to public school. We are blessed to live in a very rural area and his school is less than 5 minutes away. We are also Blessed that it is the…
