    More Time to Craft!

Joy is defined as a feeling of great pleasure and happiness. We all experience joy in different ways but narrowing down on the things that bring us joy and peace can change every aspect of our life. My family, friends, pets, (wildlife in general), plants, being outside and knowing the laundry is done for the week are a few examples of things that bring me joy. However, the urge to create is one of the things that brings me joy {AND} inner peace. So that is the “adventure” I am constantly seeking.  It is important to note though, that we have to plan time and take steps each day so…

Do you have projects in time out?

Tomorrow is Friday and man do I love me someĀ  Fridays. I love that the weekend slows down and lends its way to crafting and a time to rejuvenate my soul. I usually are am not one to start a new project on the weekend. I like to work on wips (work in progress) during the weekend. Today I want to talk about on of the biggest things a knitter or crocheter can encounter… At what point do youĀ frog it or finish it? Do you let it go to Area 51 that in the back of a dark closet and leave it for years? Are you someone that lets it…

    The multi case from Amazon

Of you know me you know I am all about storage. I came across this adorableĀ bird pencil (on the right) caseĀ on February 17, 2017 when I got myĀ Prismacolor 132 countĀ set. Now a year later I was scrolling through instagram and saw it being used as a DPN case! Genius! So naturally I ordered another one. This time I went with theĀ adorable bear print on the leftĀ and from a different company. It was also $8 cheaper than my bird one so I was curious to see if there was a difference. The difference:The bird case that I can not longer find that exact print is a little better made. the fabric…

    Goals and Dreams for 2016

Can you believe January is here? The fact that I am writing this and it is January 23rd blows my mind even more. This year had brought some interesting days for me. So far I have had my first really bad ear infection and then yesterday I feel off going down the steps of my porch. I feel hard and bruised several parts of my body. As I write this I am sitting with a heating pad on my neck and shoulders because I am so sore. However, despite the issues I have had there is always one thing I can turn to beside my family and faith. I love…

    Time to Destash!

Since this is a week late you should have created your plan off attack for your stash, house, drawer, closet…. what ever you are wanting to clean out and get organized. Last week despite having to take my youngest and mother in law to the Doctor for bronchitis I did manage to get a lot done. I even took a bag of yarn to the library and donated and have another ready to go. (these are partial/recycled yarns or I would offer them up to you guys) I was able to clean out the “school related stuff from my room and relocating that to the laundry room and shed where…

    The Plan

Every great idea needs a plan for it to be carried out. Organizing your stash or house is no different. Sure you can just start but you will be over whelmed and possibly not be as through. My plan not only pertains to my yarn room and yarn but to the rest of my house as well. I do this pretty much every year, clean out the house and purge some items because I know we will bring some in as the year progresses. To get your plan go and sit in front of whatever you want to organize and look at it.. have a pen and paper write out…

Each week I will do a post about a way to organize, sort, how to add your stash to Ravelry etc. This is a great way to share how you store your stash and maybe get rid of some things you bought but decided you do not want t use.. If you are in Alabama my…
