Bible review and a little knitting too!

August.. August the first marks the day when my inner child wants to run out and buy everything and anything with a pumpkin on it. However, let me remind you this momma is in the great state of Alabama where August has scorching temps and humidity that makes you feel you are in a sauna that follows you everywhere. I can not say that the weather brings me to those happy fall thoughts that I love nor does it really make me want to pick up my needles or hooks. However I have managed to make a pair of knitted knockers to donate to the local breast cancer support group…

    The multi case from Amazon

Of you know me you know I am all about storage. I came across this adorable bird pencil (on the right) case on February 17, 2017 when I got my Prismacolor 132 count set. Now a year later I was scrolling through instagram and saw it being used as a DPN case! Genius! So naturally I ordered another one. This time I went with the adorable bear print on the left and from a different company. It was also $8 cheaper than my bird one so I was curious to see if there was a difference. The difference:The bird case that I can not longer find that exact print is a little better made. the fabric…

A Deeper Look in the World of Crochet Hooks

Recently I hard the urge to get back crochet. When I started my fiber arts journey in 2013 I started with crochet, however lately I have really enjoyed knitting. As I was planning out my next crochet project I began gathering what I would need. I grabbed my hook, the original Boye US 8 5.00mm that started it all. When I taught myself to crochet I had put clay on the clays making them fit in my hands but the added clay made them heavy. I actually could not crochet for long periods of time because my wrist and hands would start hurting. I think this is why I pulled away…
