    Claude wears Clothes

I love cute little monsters and I love Rebecca Dangers Big Book of Knitted Monsters. Rebecca’s patterns are not only well written but the little “stories” of her monsters are cute as well… you will not be sad with this book. I have made a version of Claude which is the big green monster on the back row  of the cover. You can see him here on his Ravelry page. The book retails $18.99 but is on Sale for $15.08. You can grab your own copy of the book here. I made Claude for my son. He is a Kindergarten graduate this year and I always have called him my…

    Rebecca Danger is awesome!

So I have a family member  that raises rare and unique bunnies. I was getting some angora from her but things happened and she is no longer speaking to us (she is my Hubby’s half sister). I really really want more angora BTW 🙂 Anyways she has been posting pictures of her little furbabies online and its just making me want one more. I would love to say that my Darling Hubby agrees with the wonderful ideas and gave me the big OK to get one but that would be a huge lie. So whats a girl to do??? Knit a little bunny of course… 🙂 So here is my bunny……

Hitch ~ Designs inspired by the Alfred Hitchcock Films

I have been working on the same project pretty much the entire month of may.. It was however my first time to use nothing but charts. the hat is called Exakta by Stephannie Tallent. It is a pattern from the new Hitch book. It is a wonderful book filled with patterns inspired by the Alfred Hitchcock Films. There is even a matching cowl that can be found on Craftsy called the Exakta Cowl. The Hat is worked in the round and has a cabled design with windows. Every one of the windows is designed to have a different pattern inside of it. It is actually a very easy pattern to follow. I am an…

    Finished Objects Parade On

Parade on Little Sheep Parade On… I was a busy girl last month. This month not so much. I love spring don’t get me wrong I love seeing all the birds again and all the pretty flowers. However, with all the comes my arch Nemesis “Pollen”. Pollen is my Kryptonite. IT can take me down fast. I have been nothing but watery red eyes, snotty nose and that dry cough that makes you sound like a dying seal. Since my last post I have finished some objects. First I finished another square from the Harmony Knit and Purl book. I talked about the book before. It is filled with stitches…

I am going to be giving away a copy of the Creative Knitting Spring 2014 magazine. It just so happens I have wound up with two copies of this magazine so I decided to give one to you guys. Why do I even bother….

I finished my Gloves. They were supposed to be knit flat. They were supposed to force me to get better at seaming. Yea well that lasted about 6 rows into the rib and then I was like heck no. So I decided hey I will just knit them in the round after the rib and seam up the rib area. The yarn I am using is a local dyed 100 % wool. It is from Home Place Farms. This is the 2nd time I have used their hand dyed. The first was was with my Honey Cowl. I love this color and base.  When I finished knitting the first glove it…

A little Organization from my BYOB

If you have not figured it out yet I am an FREAK when it comes to organization. I was ecstatic when I came across Namaste during the Christmas Holidays. They are a family grown business that focuses on positive thinking and sharing the love of mankind. This is copied straight from their website: WE BELIEVE… We believe in being more friendly to your wallet We believe that style and function can be best friends We believe that everyone deserves coordinated organization We believe that Zen can exist in your handbag We believe that life’s too short to sweat the small stuff We believe in being kind to the earth and it’s creatures…

    The First Shawl

I am super proud of myself!!! I finished my first shawl in 20 days. That is pretty good considering i have two small people running around calling my name every 5 minutes. I LOVE it by the way. I love the yarn which is Plymouth Yarns Mushishi. It is 95% wool 5% silk worsted. There is 491 yards / 250 grams and it is soft and bouncy. I did not have any problems with it splitting. I have already added another skein to my wish list. I used the grape but would love to get my hands on Pomegrante colorway. You can see all my notes on my Ravelry page.…

    Love of Knitting

I may be old Fashioned but I love real magazines and books. I was super excited to get a copy of the Winter 2013 Love of Knitting magazine. The magazine retails for $6.99 which to me is an excellent price compared to other magazines in its category. Looking at the cover I am already pulled into this magazine because of the “Creative Cables learn how circle” in the bottom right corner. I am new to knitting and really want to learn about cables! I also Love how there is not to much going on the cover. When I am out shopping I usually have just a few seconds to scan the magazines…
