How do you morning??
I love an easy project to work on while I eat my breakfast and wake up. I always have one mindless knitting project and one mindless crochet one going all the time. I find its easier for me to knit in the movies but a mindless crochet gets me thinking more in the morning. I am currently working on another Rainbow Ripple Baby Blanket. Its a free pattern on Ravelry and can be found here. The yarn I am using is the Lion Brand Mandala Baby in the Pixie Hollow color. I wanted to try this out and see which I like more Mandala regular or the Baby. Well its…

December Wrap Up
made for me from my friend Debra Today is December the 30th. Wow that is a crazy sentence to write. The end of the year is always bitter sweet to me. Sad to see it go but excited to see what the new year brings. I finished two big fingering weight shawls this year. I knitted and crocheted over 10,000 yards of yarn. I meet new friends through fiber arts and I have learned some things about myself. I have been very busy girl this year and have so much more planned in the future. This blog has grown since last year. I am even planning new things for the…

Less Time For Chores more Time for Knitting
So I am not sure if you are like me but I would much rather spend my time crafting than doing chores. However, I can not do that. I do however stream line my day to day activities so I can craft more. You can ask any of my friends and I am very OCD and very organized but am so so I can relax more. It works for me and my family. So of the things I do is push myself to get up and get things done. I get all the cleaning and errand chores by 1 pm every day. That means I do not sit down sometimes…

A few Santas to Brighten the Holidays. The Lost Post..
This post was supposed to go up the first week of October. I am not sure what I did lol. So here it is.. Hey Guys and Happy Fall! It is October and my Birthday is a few days away. I have been knitting when I can but lately life has been in full swing. We have recently become a #cubscout family and I have become a Den Leader. In my last post I shared a little of my Knit Santa’s. I thought I would do a little post about them and other “Holiday” knits I have planned. The Santa pattern can be found in an old Leisure Arts Magazine…

Christmas Crochet for the Hearth, Home and Tree
I get a tad bit excited with Fall rolls around. There is something about the cooler weather that wakes me up and gets me in this relaxed state. As we all know with the Fall comes the “Fun Holidays”. We have Halloween here in October which is OK but then in November we get Thanksgiving!! Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what we all have and not just the stuff in our life. The First of November also begins the time I start the real decorating! We have a lot of Halloween decor but it does nothing for me. Its when I take that down and starting putting things…

UGH! I did it too
You know how every year Christmas merchandise gets to the shelves earlier and earlier. It drives me crazy. Christmas is a holiday dear to me heart and Americans have forgot what Christmas is about. It is not about the hustles and bustle and getting that great deal on a present for little Sue etc… It has a more personal meaning one that deals with the heart and sole. So every year as I avoid the Christmas isles in July like the bubonic plague I just wonder if they are actually being shopped yet. Now don’t get me wrong I LOVE some Christmas decor but I also love Thanksgiving and Autumn…

The end of a year and a New Beginning
I am sitting in my living room this morning. Its 8:13am which is funny because my hubby believes that is his magic number. He says every time he looks at the clock during the day is says 813. He is goofy and I love him. The boys are in the den playing with their Christmas presents and watching some cartoons. My darling hubby is working this morning trying to finish a house (we own a gutter business) but I expect he will be home soon since I see the rain starting to drip on our Auburn flag on the front porch. It is a rather gloomy day outside and despite…

A little Christmas Enabling
I love Christmas. I love the magic that is in the air, the decorations, the togetherness it brings and of course the presents. I know its not about the presents and we teach that to our boys but presents are fun. I however have family that has not gotten my love of yarn and knit/crochet yet so they were a little reluctant to shop for me this year. Instead they gave me money told me to shop for myself and then stick it under the tree. You maybe thinking well that’s no fun knowing what you are getting but I am able to get 2x as much…
