Time to Destash!
Since this is a week late you should have created your plan off attack for your stash, house, drawer, closet…. what ever you are wanting to clean out and get organized. Last week despite having to take my youngest and mother in law to the Doctor for bronchitis I did manage to get a lot done. I even took a bag of yarn to the library and donated and have another ready to go. (these are partial/recycled yarns or I would offer them up to you guys) I was able to clean out the “school related stuff from my room and relocating that to the laundry room and shed where…

Tigers and Babies.. OH My!!!
Now that the baby show is over I can share a newborn set I made from a friend… there is not really a pattern so i will share the recipe with you. For the hat I crocheted a 3.75 inch diameter circle before i started just straight crocheting in the round. I switched colors with each round and crocheted over the tails as i went along. I made the length of the hat around 5.8 inches from crown to tip. The ears I honestly can not remember lol I think i crocheted 6 hdc in a magic loop then did a combo of sl st, sc, dc, trc, dc, sc,…

Its Been a While
I know its been a while since I shared my lovely little fiber art so I wanted to take the time to do so. It has been crazy as always here…. we registered our oldest for kindergarten, my father in law was rushed to the ER and we have been potty training our youngest. I have still been fitting in crochet when I can and am proud to say I finished some projects. I have been working on a baby shower gift for a sweet lady from Louisiana. She really blessed me a couple years ago by sending me a lot of homeschool materials and I wanted to repay the…

Thanks Mom!
Do you see that picture above well that huge lot of yarn was bought for me by my mother! she scored it all at a local thrift store for about $5. There were 2 full 100% wool is a pretty red and some other mixed yarns. I love the color combo of these three. The green is a chunky and the other two are ww. I do not know what I am going to make from them but it will be something for me. I actually have a list of things I want to make but because I am a perfectionist I am constantly redoing things I make. An example…

Butterfly beanies and breakfast dreams….
What a week, we have a few pretty days here followed by some pretty wet days. Sunday was one of those wet rainy days. I did not mind though, I loved relaxing in my chair with my family watching TV and being snuggled to my queen sized heat blanket…yes my hubby hates it but I love it and all it’s hotness.. Maybe one day I will share a picture of it in all of its hideous glory but for now I will keep it a secret. This week I am still working on making some flowers for my scarf . I am also making a cute baby hat. I love…

Lucky little ME
Some may say I am lucky. I personality do not believe in luck. I do however am extremely lucky when it comes to finding 4 leaf clovers. Actually it is very scary. I can be walking around outside and look down and they sort of jump out at me. I have found 12 within 10 minutes. I tested the luck theory once. Last year around my birthday the hubby and in-laws took me to the casino for the first time. We went to the Pearl river Resort in Alabama. Ok here is a little “truth” moment. I grew up in Alabama and have lived here all my life all…

February Crochet Love
OK as you can tell from the previous post I really enjoy this crochet thing. Now lets look at the month of Love. This was my first attempt of a bonnet. I made it from 4 granny squares that I joined and then went around the edges with double crochet and a shell stitch on front. The pattern can be found here. This little flower will be come part of a headband set I am working on. Do you see my pretty pink/purple hook? Well its a Boye G hook that I clayed. That’s right clay.. I love polymer scupley clay. You can do so much with it. This is…
