Unless you have been living under a rock you should be familiar with Etsy. Its like a 24 hour, 365 day craft show! I love shopping on Etsy and the thought of supporting another mom or small business owner miles away from me makes me very happy. I do not get to order often but when I do I like to share some of the sellers shops that go out of their way wither it be a hand written note or little surprise stuck in my package. Since this is the first time I have posted about this I am going to talk about a few of my favorites…
***Again none of these stores asked me to brag on them nor was I paid in anyway.
The first store I bought from was Well Ravelled. From Melissa I purchased her Crochet Pattern Cat-Hooded Scarf. The pattern is super easy to follow and well written….She is also super great about answering any questions you may have. You can see my FO here. As much as I love the pattern I used the wrong type of yarn and mine was saggy. I have frogged it but already bought yarn to remake it!
The next purchase was from Sdspin. I purchased about 8 oz of wool from her to spin. Currently she has some discount coupon codes if you look at her shop info. She has wonderful dyed rovings and yarns stc. Right now she has some Nylon Top I would love to try and her prices are awesome! Here is the color way I would love to get my hands on!
Next we have PortFiber. their hand dyed colors are so lovely! I ordered a roving in green colors and it is super nice and fluffy. Right now she has some lovely fiber on sale like this one that I am in love with.. Please feel free to buy it and send it my way!!
Next we have Heather’s shop Winemakerssister. Her stitch markers are sooo well made and I love how she sends them in a little bag with a free little bonus! She is also part of the Phat-fiber Ravelry Group. They have giveaways for those who purchase from their list of Etsy stores… see group for details.
Another store I shop from from the Phat-Fiber Group is Luthvarian Fiber Arts. Meagan is wonderful to chat with online and has her own ravelry group. Her group is called Luthvarian Fiber Arts. Her fibers are Divine and her batts are uber lovely. Each time I have ordered from her she suprises me with a little gift. There is not a single batt in her store that I do not LOVE! Like I said she is also part of the Phat-fiber Ravelry Group. They have giveaways for those who purchase from their list of Etsy stores… see group for details.
Spinatude has lovely resin spindles. I was lucky enough to grab my MonkingJay spindle from her shop. It was a birthday present from the hubby last year. Please if you are interested in a light weight drop spindle check out her shop. She has some lovely ones with dried flowers in them. Right now she has a little bee one that is perfect for spring!
For little sock stitch markers I suggest Such Gwenderful Stuff. She has great prices and shipping. I ordered these Winter’s Night since they remind me of the White Walkers in Game of Thrones. Currently they are available in her shop and come in a little tin to keep them from getting lost.
For cute little gauges check out Girlontherocks. I ordered one of her little Sheep Spinners Gauges . It is so cute and even though I know I could just use a ruler to figure out my wraps per inch but why not do it on a cute little sheep. She had these little sheep ornaments during Christmas and I really hope she carries them again next year so I can order some.
A great place for Rolags is IvyRash. I have gotten so many compliments on my rolags I got from her shop. I am currently spinning them right now on my drop spindle. You can see my progress here. Her prices are wonderful and well made. She also sells other wonderful things. Right now I am drooling over some of her BFL in the fall colors and her mixed rolag lots..
There is one shop that I have not ordered from yet but plan to and that is Crimsonorchid. I found her shop today and she carries these bracelets that you slid the beads to keep up with row and stitch count. She has several lovely ones, but I love her Owl and Ram one. Even though she is in Canada her shipping prices are very low to the US and the price on her bracelets are very reasonable. These will make wonderful gifts for you knitting and crocheting friends.
So there are all the shops I have ever bought from on Etsy lol not many but I highly recommend every one. As I make purchases in the future I will review them and their products as well…. Have a wonderful Week!
~~Happy Yarning
