I used to be a huge reader before I met my friend new pastime friend yarn. Reading has always brought me joy and still does. It has ability to transfer me to another place and time at any time. Since I met “yarn” and the “yarnie life” I find I gravitate to books that have knitting and crochet in them. It still has the same ability to bring warm and fuzzy feelings to my soul but, on a different level. I think it does this by providing me with a feeling of community. It allows me to place myself right there within the pages on on the screen, knitting or…

What to do with the mini’s Part 2
Ideas for Mini Skeins Part 2 Hello Fibery friends and good day! I am back with another post to inspire you to use of those minis and scraps from the year. A new year is approaching, and what a wonderful thing to do of cleaning out the tidbits of skeins from this years projects. This not only allows us the chance to create something new without spending but also reducing waste we otherwise may leave behind. If you have not seen the previous post look over to the right side of the page. I hope these added projects inspire you to grab your bits and mini and began crafting. Flora…

Hello friends and happy Advent! I have collected a few of my personal favorite patterns that would work wonderfully with your mini skeins of yarn. Those mini skeins can be made up of left over, advent calendar’s or even minis you have just collected over the years. I hope this list inspires you to get creative! Notes All of these photos are clickable and will take you straight to Ravelry where you can get the details about the pattern as well as the links. These photos belong to the individual designers and I just slurped them from Ravelry to make a gallery of inspiration for you. I am not affiliate…

The first Sunday of Advent
Good morning everyone. It is the first Sunday or Advent! Before we get into this post, I know not everyone shares my faith. We all have different beliefs, opinions, and paths that have gotten us to where we are today. So please understand if yours is different than mine that is OK! You do not have to share the same beliefs and views as myself for me to call you friend. I strongly believe that the differences of each of us is what makes life beautiful. NewTube
Hello friends, I have missed you. I do not mean to forget about this blog but life takes over. My crafting life has changed a lot over the years and this blog has as well. With everything comes a season of change and our crafting life is no different. There was an incident several months ago where I really got back into my YouTube. I had always loved creating videos on youtube because I like to watch the same kind of content. However, since it had been a while since I made videos I was not aware of spammer there. Yes, I feel prey to a spammer and it caused…

What is "Your" crafting style?
I recently post a question in a planner group asking for ideas people have tried for organizing their stickers. The main debate is to keep them in sticker books like the ones M.AM.B.I sells or to break them apart and sort them by “theme”. Its quite funny how it divides the community of planners. I was scrolling through some of the reply’s this morning and one question that was posted made me stop and think. The question was from Marsha Ward, ” I love that you have all of those, but can’t you see what’s in them from the pictures of the pages on the back of the sticker books?…

As the fall weather approaches {Hopefully sooner than later} many people think of Crock-Pot cooking. I however, cook in my Crock-Pots weekly. To me the ease of throwing some food in there and having the magical little elves that live with in do all the cooking and then having it ready by dinner makes me want to use them like crazy! I wanted to share one of my families favorite meals to cook in the pots so maybe your family can enjoy them too. Crock Pot Ribs ~Country Style Ribs~Dry spices (I love the McCormick Grill Mates and the Webber ones)~Brown sugar~Salt and pepper to taste~a onion~some Beef Stock~BBQ sauce…

Bible review and a little knitting too!
August.. August the first marks the day when my inner child wants to run out and buy everything and anything with a pumpkin on it. However, let me remind you this momma is in the great state of Alabama where August has scorching temps and humidity that makes you feel you are in a sauna that follows you everywhere. I can not say that the weather brings me to those happy fall thoughts that I love nor does it really make me want to pick up my needles or hooks. However I have managed to make a pair of knitted knockers to donate to the local breast cancer support group…
