Finished Objects Parade On
Parade on Little Sheep Parade On… I was a busy girl last month. This month not so much. I love spring don’t get me wrong I love seeing all the birds again and all the pretty flowers. However, with all the comes my arch Nemesis “Pollen”. Pollen is my Kryptonite. IT can take me down fast. I have been nothing but watery red eyes, snotty nose and that dry cough that makes you sound like a dying seal. Since my last post I have finished some objects. First I finished another square from the Harmony Knit and Purl book. I talked about the book before. It is filled with stitches…

Rainy Mondays…
Rain Rain Rain….. This is the view from my craft room window. Its not very pretty since the back area is under construction… we had to cut out the bank when we moved here and plan on digging out that ditch, laying rocks and having a dry stream. That way when its dry it will look pretty and when there is rain it will be pretty as well… we are also wanting to do some pavestone and put my antique patio set on it. This weekend was a blast! We had Stitches here in the south. It was my first stitches and was somewhat over whelming. I did not look…

A better view of my room
I thought I would make a quick video of my craft room. I love all my storage and wanted to share some of my “cheap ideas” [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x01aYf7A2IU?version=3&f=user_uploads&c=google-webdrive-0&app=youtube_gdata&w=320&h=266] Since the video I have moved the Circuit machine and taken some of the yarn from the Owl Chest and put it on the bookcases. I put a little glimpse of inside the chest bellow. The nicers yarns are on bottom of the chest and you can not really see them in the photo sorry… However all of my stash, books, magazines etc are on my Ravelry page and it is up to date…. cause that’s how I roll 🙂

I have been on a Red Kick…
Do you every look at your projects and realize they are all the same color? I noticed that this past couple of weeks.. I have made sock and 2 squares and they are all red. I am not even a big fan of red so its somewhat funny. Maybe I was in the “Loving Mood” For February. Lets talk patterns and Yarn shall we? My socks were made from Knit Picks Imagination yarn. I love these colorways and am very upset they have discontinued it. I was lucky enough to have gotten several colors for Christmas from my hubby and mom. I used the Ruby Slippers color way which is…

Etsy Shops and Tools of the Trade
Unless you have been living under a rock you should be familiar with Etsy. Its like a 24 hour, 365 day craft show! I love shopping on Etsy and the thought of supporting another mom or small business owner miles away from me makes me very happy. I do not get to order often but when I do I like to share some of the sellers shops that go out of their way wither it be a hand written note or little surprise stuck in my package. Since this is the first time I have posted about this I am going to talk about a few of my favorites… ***Again…

I am Square Crazy
I am what many may call a monogamous knitter/crocheter. I try to have only one of each craft going at a time. Well except for blankets 🙂 Currently I have 4 blankets going. The one above is a crochet Log Cabin Blanket that I am making for my oldest. I am using this pattern from Lion Brand. As far as knitting blankets I am working on a barn raising quilt, a acrylic sample stitch square blanket and Love of Knitting block blanket. My acrylic stitch blanket I am using Caron Simply Soft. I was lucky enough to get a lot of it in different colors due the summer for less than…

Herimone Heartgoblin
Let me introduce you to Hermione. She is based of a pattern from Stacey Trock called Sparkie The Monster. The original pattern is a very cute little monster. However for Valentines Day Stacey challenged her Ravelry group to take one of her patterns and use it with her Heart Pattern . Hermione is what I came up with. I made a few modifications to the Sparkie pattern, created a dress for her and added the heart for her ears and antenna. Bellow I tried to write down with the modifications I had made. I hope they make sense to you and if they do not let me know and I will…

Why do I even bother….
I finished my Gloves. They were supposed to be knit flat. They were supposed to force me to get better at seaming. Yea well that lasted about 6 rows into the rib and then I was like heck no. So I decided hey I will just knit them in the round after the rib and seam up the rib area. The yarn I am using is a local dyed 100 % wool. It is from Home Place Farms. This is the 2nd time I have used their hand dyed. The first was was with my Honey Cowl. I love this color and base. When I finished knitting the first glove it…

A little Organization from my BYOB
If you have not figured it out yet I am an FREAK when it comes to organization. I was ecstatic when I came across Namaste during the Christmas Holidays. They are a family grown business that focuses on positive thinking and sharing the love of mankind. This is copied straight from their website: WE BELIEVE… We believe in being more friendly to your wallet We believe that style and function can be best friends We believe that everyone deserves coordinated organization We believe that Zen can exist in your handbag We believe that life’s too short to sweat the small stuff We believe in being kind to the earth and it’s creatures…
