A little "How To" and FO Review
So hows your stashdown cleaning coming along? I have almost completed our closets and bathroom and bedroom! Which means all I have left are the shed and barn and a few things inside. This makes me beyond happy. I am surprised I get so much done though because my hubby had to have surgery on his hand on the 2nd… which you know how men are and it was his dominant hand so naturally he could not do anything for a few days. His hand was all bandaged up and he could not even cut his own food up or open the #Milostea jug. Then as if on cue I…

Time to Destash!
Since this is a week late you should have created your plan off attack for your stash, house, drawer, closet…. what ever you are wanting to clean out and get organized. Last week despite having to take my youngest and mother in law to the Doctor for bronchitis I did manage to get a lot done. I even took a bag of yarn to the library and donated and have another ready to go. (these are partial/recycled yarns or I would offer them up to you guys) I was able to clean out the “school related stuff from my room and relocating that to the laundry room and shed where…

The Plan
Every great idea needs a plan for it to be carried out. Organizing your stash or house is no different. Sure you can just start but you will be over whelmed and possibly not be as through. My plan not only pertains to my yarn room and yarn but to the rest of my house as well. I do this pretty much every year, clean out the house and purge some items because I know we will bring some in as the year progresses. To get your plan go and sit in front of whatever you want to organize and look at it.. have a pen and paper write out…

Stash Down 2015
Ok lets be honest we all have a stash of yarn some of us make have some they have forgotten about and others may be OCD and know every single skein they own. Regardless I though it would be fun and helpful if we started organizing, cleaning out and using up our stash. Each week I will do a post about a way to organize, sort, how to add your stash to Ravelry etc. This is a great way to share how you store your stash and maybe get rid of some things you bought but decided you do not want t use.. If you are in Alabama my…

Christmas Crochet for the Hearth, Home and Tree
I get a tad bit excited with Fall rolls around. There is something about the cooler weather that wakes me up and gets me in this relaxed state. As we all know with the Fall comes the “Fun Holidays”. We have Halloween here in October which is OK but then in November we get Thanksgiving!! Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what we all have and not just the stuff in our life. The First of November also begins the time I start the real decorating! We have a lot of Halloween decor but it does nothing for me. Its when I take that down and starting putting things…
